Today we had a ceremony of remembrance for Rocky.  We dug a small hole in the ground, next to where we buried Patti last March(she was our calico cat who died at age 15).  We took a box and placed Rocky's collar, the newspaper clipping offering a reward for his return, and a lost poster in it.  I placed a letter in there that I wrote to him and the kids wrote a message to him on the box. We told him he was the best dog, we loved him and missed him.  It was very sad but brought a nice sense of closure to the entire thing. 


Maddie and I have been having trouble communicating, some typical 13 year old stuff.  So, I'm making an effort to spend more one on one time with her.  We went to the library and the store today.  Nothing huge, just time together to talk, hang out, etc.  She opened up to me about some things that were bothering her and we had some time to just discuss them.  She's a sweet girl who is strong willed and very independent.  These can truly be great qualities for the Lord as she continues to surrender more and more to his leading.


Today's workout:  Slim Series Firm it Up (lower body).  Tonight will be some yoga, ahhhh.......
