I realize that I've been using some gloomy colors because it's been rainy and overcast all week. But, it's making the grass green!!

We've not been that creative with our work this week. The kids have just been grinding through their workbooks, etc.  And, trying to figure out what directions they personally want to take next year.  We have done extra reading aloud in several books (one about the Pony Express, Wind in the Willows, Ty's Story of the World).

Part of the problem this week is I'm tired.  Not only has it been gloomy, I've been trying to switch to early am workouts.  Okay, not early but working out by 7am~which is late for a lot of people (I'm a confirmed night owl).  I'm only getting 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep each night because I can't get to bed early enough~I just enjoy my alone time at night too much.  I really need to pray through this and decide what direction to take.  I love having my workout done for the day, but don't like feeling groggy.  I've heard it will get better, maybe I'll keep plugging away.

Off to get the kids from swim lessons.  Co-op starts up again for us tomorrow, the last 6 weeks before the end of school.

Today's workout:  Caribbean Workout Aerobics, two low impact sections(42 minutes).  It was nice to see sunshine and a beach during my workout since it was still dark and cold and rainy here!

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Not too much exciting to report today.  It rained most of the day and drizzled when it didn't rain.  The kids had a really focused day getting some math and chemistry done, with a great show on supernovas thrown in there during the afternoon.  We had a great discussion about the Big Bang vs.  The Big God!!

I'm sorry I've not been in a chatty mood~I think it's the weather.  Right now I'm ready to put my pjs on and watch Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced that we rented from Netflix and then go to bed early!

Today's workout:  Circuit workout with Erin O'Brien, one of my favorite instructors (cardio and weights and nice floorwork for chest and abs).

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Busy day here today.  We decided to focus on some spelling and did some of the work on www.everythinghomeschooling.com.  There were quizzes, games, etc.  I also spent time talking with Mary Madison about what curriculum she wants to use next year, what direction she wants her homeschooling to take, etc.  And, trying to encourage Tyler to work~he still has spring fever!!

My MIL/FIL brought the dogs back so we needed to get them settled in and the dog things put away.  I was glad to see those fur babies again, rascals that they are!!

Other than that, a pretty laid back day.  Just counting my blessings from above!!

Today's Workout:  50 minutes of cardio~Rockin' Body Cardio Jam

Monday, March 28, 2011

Last week was spring break for us.  Tom had a conference about a half an hour from my parents' home so we all loaded up and went to Kentucky for the week.  We had a blast!!  It was also really nice to get to celebrate my 46th birthday in My Old Kentucky Home for a change.

We got home yesterday just in time to watch the Kentucky Wildcats fight their way into the Final Four against the North Carolina Tarheels.  That was a nail biter at the end, but I'm resigned to the fact that there are no other kinds of games with this crew.

Today we slept in a bit, being weary from 7 hours of car travel, unpacking, settling in, etc.  We got some regular work done and then spent a good chunk of time at the library picking out some books for research and pleasure reading.  We also enjoyed a low key afternoon with the books (except for mom, who had to go grocery shopping since the cupboard was bare).

So, even though it's gloomy, rainy and cool, I'm so grateful to God my Father for his gifts.  Parents and my brother still with me to share life with~and they offer incredible support (yeah, even you, Mom, although you laughed at me taking a dive over the baby gate); a husband (who also laughed at my misfortune) who is wonderful, and three crazy kids; a home and a place to worship with a congregation that has to be similar to those that Paul found joy with in Phillipi; and so many more things that I just have to shout Hallelujah!  Amen!

Workouts:  Last week I did Powerfit Harmony~1 strength and 1 cardio per day, and 1 core workout.
The Saturday before we left, March 19, I did Weightloss Cardio Kick with Violet Zaki (kickboxing with 4 limb weight movement) and on Sunday, March 20 I did Weight Loss Cardio Sculpt with Violet~compound weight movements with cardio intervals.

Today's workout:  Tracie Long Longevity Leaning Out (mostly weights, one cardio interval)

What I'm reading:  Last week I read part of a homeschooling book by Lisa Riveo; Cat Among the Pigeons by Agatha Christie; and finished Guerrilla Learning by Grace Llewellyn.  Right now I'm reading Agatha Christie's Mysterious Affair at Styles, Poirot's first case and trying to finish the Riveo homeschooling book (I think it's called The Homeschooling Option, I discussed it in a previous post).

Sunshine, sunshine, 83 degrees.  What a great day. The only problem I've had is that it was busy.

It was errand day for me.  I left the house at 8am and went to Walmart to get Wes some soccer shorts and socks; the library (twice, Maddie had to go later, rolling my eyes here), haircut for Maddie, pick up dinner (thank goodness for Little Cesar's $5 pizzas), Kmart for something, and took Wes on an errand.  I just got back from taking Mary Madison to soccer practice too.

Since I've had this head cold, I really need to rest a bit. But tomorrow we have soccer games at 12 and 3, a breakfast to attend for someone in the church, and my in laws are coming to watch soccer and pick up the dogs to watch while we are out of town next week.  Sometime I need to do laundry and pick up the house!  At least we did some dusting and vacuuming/sweeping last night and today!!!

The kids did some work while I was running all over town and helped Tom with some cleaning.  Poor Wes got the task of helping Tom in the basement~never a fun task, I have to admit.

So now, I'm ready to just be still and know that HE IS GOD.  I need to quiet my mind, heart, body, and soak in his love.  That's exactly how I started this day and how I should end it~now how much better does it get than that?  I'm truly blessed.

Today's workout:  Erin O'Brien Strong Body, Ageless Body (weights), quickly becoming a favorite.

What I'm reading:  Got a new book from the library today called The Homeschooling Option:  How to Decide When It's Right for your Family by Lisa Rivero.  It doesn't matter if the book is for newbies, people considering, or old pros, homeschooling books are invaluable for motivation, encouragement, support and ideas.

Thursday, March 17, 2011

I am not a morning person at all.  I love to stay up late and get up late.  And, lately, I've not been sleeping well due to waking up a bit stuffy or having a cough with my dry throat.  So, it was a surprise to me that I woke up at 6:20 am today~and that I enjoyed it.

Tom is one of those disgusting morning people who gets up a couple of days a week to go to a 5:15 am spin class so he was long gone. (And I don't think he's disgusting, that's pure jealousy over him being up and chipper so early).  I took my time getting breakfast, checking some emails, etc.  Then I left before 7:30 am and got coffee at Panera Bread, lingering over my Bible reading and personal study.  By the time I got home about 8:15, Tom was getting ready to leave and the kids were up, ready to shower, eat and begin school.  It was absolutely refreshing to feel like I wasn't behind or trying to get going just like everyone else.

The topic of interest today was the levels of the ocean and how much psi (pounds per square inch, Mom, Tyler told me) that exerted on the body and what that felt like.  We spent a lot of time talking about this and using some math skills to determine how many 0s you needed to write some really big numbers.

We then at lunch together, since the kids have homeschool swim and soccer this afternoon, and decided to work on long division.  Yes, Tyler is getting excited about division and was getting everyone into the mood to do some work with him.  Maddie did a fun little spur of the moment problem to find out how many thoughts she would have in a day if she had one per second (that's 86,400 in case you're interested).  I told her I hoped her brain at least took a break when she slept!

Today I was studying Eve and how so many decisions seem so big to us at the time and they simply aren't.  And how so many seemingly small decisions (I mean, it's just a bite of fruit, right?) mask bigger issues in our hearts and lead to long-term consequences.  I know that there are some that I simply regret that started out innocently.  I pray God fills my heart with a hunger for him, and satisfies me with good things.  I don't want to settle for wax fruit when a feast awaits, do you?

Today's workout:  MBodied Cardio; Prevention 400 Calorie Fix Cardio and stretch(45 minutes of cardio)

What I'm reading:  Last night I read pretty much all of Agatha Christie's Sad Cypress again.  I picked it up to do so last week after watching the movie and never ended up reading it.

My Lenten study is Wilderness Wanderings:  A Lenten Pilgrimmage, by Marilyn Brown Oden. Each day has a different focus and this week we've looked at solitude, silence, study, and scripture, so far.

I'm also reading and working through a FABULOUS book I borrowed from the library~I'll end up purchasing it from Amazon, I'm pretty sure. It's called Room To Write by Bonni Goldberg.  It has tons of chapters that give you a word (bear) a thought (I remember), etc. and asks you to just randomly fill a page or two using that spark.  I highly recommend it to those of you who, like me, love to write.

Oh, and P.S.  What I do here is pretty much stream of consciousness.  I do spell check and occasionally make changes for clarity but don't spend much time perfecting anything.  I just write what comes to mind as I sit here!  It's great practice.

Ever have one of those days?  Today is one for me.  I'm feeling overwhelmed.  No matter what decisions I make in a certain area of my life, I'm not getting the results I want.  It's not working like I want it to.  And, of course, the problem is the word "I" appearing in the post.

We all have things that trip us up like this.  And, as far as I've come on this road with Jesus, I still have to go back to school, so to speak, and learn to take the problem to him.  Ask what HE wants in the situation, and how HE wants me to proceed.  And, truly, examine my motives in the process.

Okay, now for the school stuff.  Today we spent time working on writing. All three kids took a predator they knew about and investigated it more.  They then wrote a paragraph about why the creature is a predator and then what they find fascinating about it.  All three also added art work to their finished product.

Today's workout:  Joy Bauer's Slimdown workout.  I didn't get to walk Rocky because I had to pick Wes up from the Orthodontist and then get school going and I had overslept a bit.  Oh well.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Well, the cold kicked in and we've all been down except DH.  He had a cold two weeks ago, though.  Sunday all the children and I stayed home from church and yesterday was a wash too.  We watched a biography and an Agatha Christie movie (Cat Among the Pigeons) and took several naps!  Today seems to be a bit better.

Maddie is doing some menu planning and math right now; Tyler is doing some architecture (building Legos); Wes is doing historical research and studying philosophy and world religion (watching a History Channel show on the Aztecs). How is that for making some things sound really, really good, LOL?

Actually, they've also done some reading and work in their school books, even when not feeling great.  We're all still stuffy and a bit run down so anything they have done is great with me!

Saturday's workout:  51 minutes of cardio; Kelly Coffey-Meyer, Circuit Burn, Cardio/Boxing premix; Desi Bartlett 3-in-1 Total Body Fitness cardio; Yoga section from the Desi workout; Dog walk

Sunday~Rest

Monday~sick, didn't do any workout.

Tuesday~Prevention 400 Calorie Fix Cardio Sculpt workout

Friday, March 11, 2011

I can't even begin to talk about the kids school today.  I just need to talk about my night last night and why my wonderful, darling husband took my two oldest kids to co-op today and gave me the morning off.

First of all, I think Tyler has allergies or a cold.  Not sure which, he had a sore throat, is stuffy and blowing his nose.  This started yesterday so I decided to keep him home from co-op.

Then, yesterday afternoon, Peanut, our half Siamese mean outdoor dude, came in the house and we noticed he has a hole in his skin. Yes, a HOLE.  On his side.  Tom said it looked like he'd been shot with a .22~but he'd be dead, LOL.  We treated it and I've had to keep him in and watch to make sure it heals properly and doesn't get dirty or infected.  So peroxide, neosporin, yada, yada, yada.

If that's not enough, Tom took Rocky out last night to go to the bathroom before he got in his crate about 10 pm.  I reminded him that Rocky liked to jump the fence.  He needed to guard the fence or use a leash.  Guess what?  Yep, off he went.  We couldn't find him anywhere and his collar has gotten old so his tag fell of earlier in the day.

About midnight I decided to drive around the neighborhood and couldn't find him.  I was praying to God about it and pulled into the driveway.  I opened the car door to find the beast had come home.  I got him into his crate and he fell asleep, exhausted.

Not me.  I couldn't get to sleep for a long time, I was so keyed up.

Finally about, 5:30 am, I heard Rocky crying in his crate. He NEVER does this.  I went to see if his paw was stuck, or something, and he came out of his crate and bounded up the stairs, to go to the back door.  Not on your life, bud~you can't go out and jump that fence and run around.  So, he followed me to my room where he proceeded to urinate ALL OVER MY HARDWOOD FLOOR.  Again, he's NEVER had to go out early like that, he has an iron bladder.  Plus the fact he was out two hours last night, probably lifting his leg all over the neighborhood.  RAWR!!

So, I cleaned that up, started some laundry to wash the rags, and heard the old beagle, Penny, wanting to go out.  RAWR again.  I took her out, and Peanut ran out the door.  I got the dog in, got the cat in, and was again AWAKE.  So I was up until 7:30 watching coverage of the tragedy of the tsunami in Japan, and praying for everyone involved.

At 7:30 I went to bed until 8:15.  Then I helped Tom and the kids get out the door for co-op.  I walked the beast, er, Rocky, got some coffee and read my Bible, exercised, and hung out with my sick son.  So far I've not taken a nap because, gosh darn it, I want to sleep tonight, LOL.

There you have it.  A day in the glamorous life of a stay-at-homeschooling mom!

Today's workout:  Powerfit Back, Biceps, and Thighs; Powerfit Core Fusion; Dadgum Dog Walk!!
(He is so sweet and always comes home.  No one we know will take him, so I guess we're stuck with the beast.  Just goes to show you when someone throws a dog out there is usually a reason, teehee!!)

P.S.  RAWR is what one of my homeschooling buddies says when things don't go well.  I had ample opportunity to say it yesterday and last night!!

P.S. #2~Wes and I both have nasty sore throats so it's not allergies.  The good news is we still have a week before going on Spring Break to Kentucky so we should all be better by then.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

I haven't fallen off the blog planet, lol, just been busy and needed a break.  We have had scouts, American Heritage girls, Ash Wednesday services and dinner, swim lessons, play dates, bad storms, and a cat who got a major puncture wound that we're nursing right now.  Just the regular stuff of life that comes up.

On the school front, we spent time this week studying geology, including taking a virtual tour of oceans and volcanoes; working with measurements; reading lots of good books, plugging away in our workbooks, and, in general, just learning through chores, cleaning, laundry and the stuff that makes up the grist of our mill called normal life.  I love seeing how the kids learn from the smallest things.  And sometimes it seems we plug along and then there is a flurry of discovery and excitement.  Right now we've been in a plugging mode this week.  Probably the cooler, rainy weather has contributed to it.

Tyler has a bit of allergies or a head cold so we're just hanging out at home tonight watching some SEC conference basketball games.  At times like these, I realize how blessed I am to have a home, a chair I love, books to read, and people I love around me.

Workouts:

Tuesday~Firm Express Interval Cardio with Alison; Powerfit Legs and Shoulders; Dog Walk

Wednesday~no dog walk, it was pouring.  Tyler and I did a mile walk with Leslie Sansone, now THAT was funny!  I also did Firm Ultimate Fat Burning Workout later in the day.

Today~Star Trainer's Cardio with Violet Zaki~kickboxing flavored; Powerfit Chest, Tris and Glutes; Dog Walk

Monday, March 7, 2011

Nothing too exciting to write tonight, I'm just too tired.  I had to take Maddie to American Heritage Girls, pick her up; take both boys to Scouts, run to Sam's Club, run to the Christian book store...those kinds of days are wearing on me.  We did do some fun games with homophones and homographs for English today.  One was even like an on-line Jeopardy and the kids loved it.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel more like writing.  For now, off to chill out, read a bit, and head to bed.

Today's workout:  Erin O'Brien Strong Body, Ageless Body (full body weights).

Sunday, March 6, 2011

Brrrr, it's chilly today.  It was 41 the last time I checked, but with the wind chill it feels like 35.  I am missing the 75 weather! The good news is that it will be in the upper 60s and sunny tomorrow.

I took the kids to Sunday School and then slipped out for some alone time.  Our teacher was out of town (the parents of Wes' friend who spent the night) so we decided not to have class.  I used the time to savor some coffee and read my Bible in quietness.

Today was communion which always blesses me.  Tyler was acolyte and looks so angelic in his little white robe~he who is normally an energetic little rascal!!

I took Wes, Ty and his friend to lunch at Taco Bell(last of the big spenders) while Maddie went shopping and out to eat with a friend.  Then my house was full of kids until youth.  It's such a blessing to know that my kids and their friends enjoy being here, don't you think?  But, I do admit that when everyone is elsewhere I like listening to the quiet.

I pray everyone had a wonderful Sunday.

No workout today, it's my rest day.

Saturday, March 5, 2011

It's been overcast most of the day and now it's raining.  The good news is that I talked to Tom about my need for "me" time and he said I could have that time today and not attend the meeting.  He's given me the details and it sounds like it went great!

So, I went out all alone and read my Bible and drank some coffee.  The manager on duty at the coffee place asked me what I was reading and we had a good time just bragging on the Lord, as one of my friends calls talking about Jesus!  Then I went consignment shopping.  Wes ripped a pair of his jeans on his bike last week so I got a pair for him for $3, Levis, great shape.  I can't sew AT ALL so that was definitely cheaper than having the older ones fixed and he has two pairs to get him through until the summer heat kicks in.

Today, in my studies, I found a great thought by Selwyn Hughes, who does the devotionals in my Daily Bible.  He said we have a deep need to talk to God about the circumstances of our lives.  Isn't that great?  So often we feel guilty if our prayers aren't Biblical enough, deep enough, intercessory enough...(feel free to add many more "shoulds" to this list).  Not that there's not truth there, but we must remember that telling God about our thoughts, hurts, life, deepens that relationship we have with our Father.  And, a deepened relationship fosters trust, peace, even acceptance.

As the rain softens the earth outside my window, I pray the truth that God cares about the details of your life softens your heart today.

P.S.  Even though it's Saturday, the kids have been having some fun reading today.  It's a great rainy day activity.  Except Wes, who has decided to play Xbox most of the day. Sigh.  I'm glad that thing is kept off, for the most part, during the week~he only gets 45 minutes AT MOST on that thing in the afternoons.

Today's workout:  Andrea Metcalf's Keeping Fit Cardio (lower impact, boxing) and it's my new favorite.  I've not done a 56 minute cardio workout without being bored in a long time so that's great.

Friday, March 4, 2011

Thanks for all the prayers, the class went well.  Yes, they're active and like to talk but they were so cute and sweet.  I enjoyed teaching them a lot but am glad I don't have that responsibility from week to week!

As soon as I got done cleaning up I found out that I had to oversee PE for the 6th and up kids.  The PE teacher was out too. There were so many moms out that it kind of made the day crazy.  But the older kids are easy to work with. We gave them boundaries and told them to play capture the flag and they had a ball.

After co-op, Tom and the guys got haircuts and then worked in Wes' room putting his bed a bit higher off the floor~mostly so Tom could use the space to store some of his junk, er, treasures there.  Lest I throw stones, I must admit I have a lot of books and exercise stuff and need to do some wedding out myself.

I took Maddie to the library and in the meantime, Tom ordered Pappa John's Pizza for us, yea. I think he had fun because he did all the ordering online and was looking at pictures of pizza and trying out what different toppings on them looked like, lol.  Maddie and I had enough time to go by Arby's and grab a sugar free Peach Flavored Green  Tea.  If it wasn't so expensive, I would be addicted to that stuff, it's wonderful.

Now were home and frankly, all I want to do is take a warm bath and watch a Poirot movie, Sad Cypress, that I rented from Netflix.  It's cold here (okay, only 51 but it's been in the 70s for a bit and there are strong winds making it feel much colder).  Plus, I have to go to a church meeting all morning tomorrow and Wes is having a friend over in the afternoon to spend the night. Frankly, I'm getting that frantic feeling of needing "me" time.  I'd just read the story of Jesus telling his disciples that they needed to get away and rest, only to be confronted by needs of multitudes.  He took care of the crowd, and then made sure he and  his disciples got their batteries recharged.  So, I'm asking him to make a little oasis for me in the midst of a busy weekend.  And, I'm sure he'll respond~because that is who he is.

Today's Workout:  Powerfit Legs and Shoulders; Powerfit Harmony Body Balance (core)

What I'm reading:  Honey for a Teen's Heart and Turning your Teens into Readers, both by Gladys Hunt. They're excellent books on how to read, how to be discerning, and tons of lists of great books to interest teenagers. The kids are looking forward to checking out some of her recommendations.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

I noticed I spend a lot of time telling you what the kids did and saying that they also did their regular workbooks, etc.  That is a regular part of our day and includes math, language, arts, spelling/handwriting, etc.  So from now on, I'm not going to talk about it~just know we do it and I'm discussing the extra little fun things we do.  This will save me from typing the same old boring thing, okay?

Sometimes I think my Dad, and possibly Tom, are the only people who follow along with my blog.  That's fine, it's more of an on-going record for me so I can easily put together my end of the year report.  And, remember all the little things that add up to our lives.   But today, one of my friends said she's been enjoying reading my blog and seeing what color I'll use to write.  So, for my buddy, I chose fuchsia pink because I love all shades of pink but hot pink is my favorite!!

I found some old worksheets for science that we hadn't touched in ages and pulled one out and copied it for the kids.  It asked them to identify 9 birds by picture and then list some interesting or unique fact about four different birds.  They worked together on the project, using books, the internet, etc. and had a ball.  It was a great thinking project to narrow down a lot of facts to a simple phrase.  Tyler did a great job with this when he said, "Blue Jays are aggressive thieves."  Too funny.

We THOUGHT we had homeschool swim lessons start today but no go. We got over there and they start next week.  Oh well, that's life.  I then had to run to the store to buy a few things for homeschool co-op tomorrow.  I'm pinch hitting at the last minute for a mom with a sick child and teaching a science lesson on the sense of taste to K-1st graders.  I have chocolate, lemon, bananas, and salt for them to taste blindfolded!  Pray for me, last minute stuff is not my forte and I've not gotten the email with the lesson yet!!

Yesterday a friend asked me what I was looking forward to this spring.  I thought about that long and hard and here is what I wrote:  "Visiting my parents at the end of the month. I'll be Kentucky from March 21-26 and my 46th birthday is on the 25th. I am excited about turning 46. I can no longer pretend I'm young and can embrace each day of life God allows me and am starting to relax and be myself. Especially with fitness. No more doing a workout just to get results someone raved about. I want to move, be healthy, and find joy in working out."  It was a fitness buddy who asked the question, that's why I took the turn I did. (I'll be sharing more over the next bit of time about why I think exercise is so important but suffice it to say when one member doesn't function if effects the others.)

So, my question to you is the same that I asked yesterday of my Facebook buddies.  I said that kickboxing makes me feel empowered, healthy and athletic.  I love it.  What do you do for yourself that nurtures you?  If you can't think of something, set aside time to be with the Lord and ask for his guidance.

Gotta run, having dinner at a Mexican restaurant with my Bible Study Ladies.  Wonder what Tom will give the children for dinner?

Today's Workout:  Get Sexy (ugh) again~med ball cardio and floor work for glutes and abs; Powerfit Harmony Strong Pull (biceps, back, shoulders, inner thighs and hamstrings).

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

Spring green today!  I got up and walked the dog and was glad to see it was not as cold as they previously predicted.  It was about 44 overnight, not 34.  So, our trees and flowers survived just fine!

Today, besides the usual work,  the kids spent time working on Grammar and Reading skills.  They found some cool games on www.everythinghomeschooling.com and had a ball testing their skills.  Wes declared "Grammar  Gorilla" coolest name for an educational game ever.

Maddie and Tyler had piano and Wes and I watched a bit of the Kentucky and Vanderbilt basketball game that was on late last night.  From 15 up to 1 down, and the final three minutes of torture that almost gave me a heart attack last night, we were glad the Cats pulled out a win.

I went to a local Consignment store and to get a cup of peach flavored green tea from 4:00-4:30.  Sometimes the simplest things can make the days special, can't they?

So, what have you done that made your day simply wonderful today?

Today's workout:  Amy Dixon Kickin' Strength (intervals of cardio and sculpting with moderate weights); Arms of Steel Yoga Flow (lovely yoga practice incorporating a band to stretch and tone the muscles).  At only 10 minutes, it was the perfect ending to my workout.  Oh, and of course, my dog walk!

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

What a fun day we had.  And yes, I chose golden orange because the sun was back out again!

The kids got up early and ate breakfast, did all their chores, etc.  I quickly walked the dog while they got ready and we went to Barnes and Noble.  Maddie and I had some coffee and then we settled down with our books.  We did some school work there and then browsed, looking for some things we might want to check out at the library.  Tyler spent time reading some funny comic type books; Wes looked at books about computers and video games; Maddie at sketching and sewing books.  No surprises there!

We then went to the library and checked out some books and then came home to finish up some math and language arts lessons.  I went to lunch with Tom on a date and then had to run out to Walmart for some groceries. It seems like I'm ALWAYS stocking up on apples, bananas, carrots, milk/almond milk cereal, oatmeal, pretzels, peanut butter...um, I think you get the point!

I was studying Leviticus today and although not my favorite book, I came to this conclusion:  God was, and is, crazy about his people.  He gave them so many details about how to be healthy, eat healthy, and have healthy relationships~with one another and with  God himself.  I don't know about you, but it makes me love my Father more to know he cares about every aspect of my life.  Every moment becomes sacred, as I think about how he created food for me, gives me rest, cares about my life.

So every moment becomes a serendipity to be celebrated.  Because our God, who is good, is for us~no matter what people or circumstances throw our way.

Today's workout:  Firm Express Cardio with Rebekah (interval cardio); Powerfit Harmony Strong Push (chest, tris, glutes); dog walk
